Section 24.2

The One Creator

Creator: Jason Paul · Developed with AI by ToC Works.

The biblical confession of the one Creator changes the status of every other power. The distinction concerns more than who receives the highest rank. God alone is the source on whom every creature depends.

A heavenly being may possess knowledge, authority, or the ability to act in human history. None of these makes it another ultimate deity. It remains created and answerable to judgment.

This allows a Christian reader to consider real spiritual agency behind some ancient testimony without accepting the testimony's worship of that agency. A remembered encounter and its religious interpretation are distinct claims.

The distinction also guards against a mistaken hierarchy in which Israel merely chooses one stronger god among many. Within the faith governing this book, every possible supernatural referent in Greek tradition belongs on the creaturely side of the relation.
